Venue: San Francisco, CA – Regency Center Grand BallroomĬoal Chamber on the other hand had some problems in Frisco.Īrtist: Veil Of Maya, Upon A Burning Body, Volumes, Gideon & The Last Ten Seconds Of Life Wow, Mayhem is still a pretty decent draw.Īrtist: Coal Chamber, Filter, Combichrist & American Head Charge Venue: Minneapolis, MN – Mill City Nights It's interesting to see how these four artists, not at all identical, but still arguably metal, all stack up against each other. Regardless, not a bad day's worth of work for a hometown artist.Īrtist: Pierce The Veil, Sleeping With Sirens, Pvris & Mallory Knox Smoke machines, and confetti made the experience that much better for the fans. Having played Vans Warped Tour in 2008, 2010, 2012, and 2015, Pierce the Veil has made a lasting impression on spectator’s, enough so to make them 2015’s headliners. It's interesting they only opened about 7,000 seats for this one. Originally from San Diego, the members of Pierce the Veil are no strangers to the Warped Tour Stage. Slayer play the same venue, with slightly different ticket prices, but draw about half the gate. Glad I snuck out to catch it.Wow, Christmas radio fests draw in big money! No wonder stations keep pumping them out.Īrtist: ‘ Dave’s Rock & Roll Club‘ (aka Foo Fighters)įoo Fighters scheduled a "secret" gig that acted as a birthday party for Dave Grohl at the Forum in Inglewood, and look at that, it turned a pretty penny.Īrtist: Slayer, Exodus & Suicidal Tendencies (Of course, most of that was teenage electricity…but hey, who’s judging?) When Hell Above landed, the Egyptian Room was absolutely electric. I still love the combination of “May These Noises Startle You in Your Sleep Tonight” and “Hell Above” as an opener….the acoustic strumming and the muted speech at the beginning is incredible to open a show. Nowhere is that more apparent than in the acoustic portion of the set, and Vic once again held his own as a pure singer.

Once again, as a music fan driven by vocals, the best metalcore band in the world can’t hack it with me unless you can sing. I’m also a sucker for the acoustic portion of the set so I’m Low on Gas./Hold On til May was really killer. Halfway through, I thought to myself “Maybe we ARE having too much fun…”. Vic’s screams were as good as I think I’ve ever heard them, and the chugging of the breakdowns sounded perfectly bothersome. While I loved when Kellin and Vic closed the show with King for a Day (my favorite song of theirs), a dark horse favorite in this show was Bulls in the Bronx – something about this song really stands out. High energy throughout, great song selection, and incredible fan support. This is a gross injustice in my opinion, but one that I’d gladly put up with to get the chance to see King for a Day with Kellin Quinn’s vocals live.Īs expected, the show was fantastic. (It’s a co-headlining tour, so they swap nights). The show in Indy had Pierce the Veil as the lead in, and Sleeping with Sirens as the headliner.
PIERCE THE VEIL CONCERT 2019 FREE
Thanks to a buddy, I even got free tickets. They also have a great live show, a trait that further weakens that soft spot that I have. Something about their music really lands home with me, and I find myself frequently taking a break from the stuff I typically listen to, I end up throwing on a Pierce the Veil record. As my musical tastes have matured, I find myself gravitating a bit away from the metalcore genre, however, PtV is a band that I will always have a soft spot. Pierce the Veil, Sleeping with Sirens, and Beartooth brought their aptly named “World Tour” to Indianapolis this spring to play a show.
